  • So, I'm updating this review because it turns out I was doing the first level *completely* wrong. First off, the Afternoon Delight is *way* better than Give Peach a Chance was, but that's not why. No, the reason is: the first level is for drinking classic cocktails, on average, for *free* - the video poker machine has blackjack, which I played a little last time I was here, but completely didn't know the secret, which they don't really advertise: you put 20 bucks in, and get a free drink. Then if you play quickly enough (apparently it resets if you enjoy your drink and don't gamble for more than a couple minutes at a time, which is kinda lame, but still), it starts dispensing *more* free drink vouchers. Sadly, you can't use them for the fancy cocktails on their drinks list, but you *can* use them for pretty dang solid classic cocktails, and if you can't decide one, the bartenders both times I was there were also very knowledgeable about drinks, and recommended things for me to try (my favorite new drink order at a bar that does that sort of thing: the boulevardier). Given that blackjack, on average, lets you pretty much break even, this means that, on average, you can drink pretty tasty classic cocktails for free! The middle level was also still just as awesome as last time - you can see my previous review for a couple drinks I tried last time. This time, I tried their Classy Lassi going one direction (fun - it pretty much does taste like a delicious lassi, i.e. pretty much doesn't taste like it has booze in it, even though it actually has quite a lot), and the Apples to Apples going back home the next weekend, which is just completely delicious - pretty much tastes like drinking a pecan, which, I'm not complaining. Sadly, the top level is currently closed for renovation - sounds like it'll be back in a couple more months.
