  • After all the years I've lived in Charlotte, I had never been to Owen's. I mean, how different could THESE bagels be? Bagel sandwiches, done before --or so I thought. I wasn't aware of the whole steamed bagel concept. On my maiden voyage I ordered the chicken salad special and my lunch date had the Tonya Harding. His was much better than mine but I have to say, the bagels were just soooo good. I have definitely been missing out. Will be trying the egg sandwich and other options in the near future. I am sort of obsessing about trying more and more steamed bagel options and sort of wish I kept myself in the dark. If you haven't gone to Owen's - go!
