Huge margarita's at $9 each. You could taste the tequila, and that's a plus.
Multi colored chips and moderately spicy salsa were brought promptly.
I had the steak fajitas. Steak was good and there was plenty to fill three flour tortillas. Tons of green and red peppers though. No tomatoes. None. Sides included guacamole, sour cream, refried black beans and white rice. White rice? Really? And no cheese.
My wife had the tampaquena...skirt steak and a chicken enchilada. Steak was cut up, not a full uncut piece of skirt steak (weird). Enchilada was passable but nothing great.
Fried ice cream for dessert. Huge and delicious.
This is a typical Scottsdale/Phoenix restaurant. High expectations but disappointing. I swear they just don't know how to cook anything here. We're from Chicago and have high quality restaurants. This area is sorely lacking anything with quality and taste.
