| - This was my second Prius purchase from AutoNation Toyota. The first purchase I was in and out within two hours and I didn't even know what car I wanted when I went in nor did I have financing in place. This time, I went in at around 5:00 p.m. on a Saturday, July 23rd, knowing exactly what car I wanted to see and with my pre-approval for financing in place with my regular lender. I was introduced to TREVOR BARTH as my salesman. A nice, unassuming looking young man. Boy was I wrong!!! I told him right from the start that my only vehicle was in the shop and would not be repaired, I was a single, working mom and I needed a car a car that day as my son's b'day was the following day and we were leaving town the day after that. I had called before going in to let them know exactly what car I was there to see, and that my financing was already in place. He said that was no problem. We test drove the 2015 Prius and I decided to purchase it. The only thing that needed negotiating was that I wanted a leather package installed instead of keeping the cloth that was currently in there. That should have taken 1/2 hour tops. As it turned out, he kept playing games and incremently up-ing the price on me each time he came back from Financing. Finally, around 10:00 (mind you, I've not been there almost 5 hours for nothing and the dealership itself was closed at 9:00 so I couldn't go to another salesperson), he tells me that he won't honor my pre-approval for financing! We argued over that for an additional 1/2 hour and he STILL refused to honor it. I was completely exhausted and my hands were tied as I needed a vehicle that day. He knew that and Absolutely took advantage of the situation. I was basically forced into a position of having to apply for Toyota's financing and I was NOT HAPPY about it. I finally was able to leave the dealership at 11:30 that night. RIDICULOUS! I had a couple of We Owe forms from Trevor as well that he never followed up on with me, despite me calling and leaving him a message on his cell phone. I had to call and take care of these things on my own which took about 6 more trips into the dealership. I only talked to Trever one time after the initial purchase when I called to ask him who picked up my financing so that I could re-finance my loan back to where I originally wanted it. He had the AUDACITY to ask me to hold off for at least three months so HE could get HIS rebate!!! I was appalled. I have been trying ever since to get my vehicle refinanced but Toyota's process is so slow, I am still stuck waiting to be able to do so! I cannot wait to be done with AutoNation and I will never again purchase a vehicle from them. All because of the unethical, coercisive sales tactics of Trevor Barth. BEWARE if he is your salesman!!!
