  • We've always been fans of FEZ, dating back to when they were in the location farther north on Central that shared the parking lot with the FedEx store. I have to say, I feel like both the food and the atmosphere has only gotten better since they moved farther south to the new location at Central and Portland. We've been here several times in the past 6 months, ranging from a few girls' nights to a family brunch and have been more than satisfied on each visit. Plus, the parking is much improved over the previous location. Menu favorites include the strawberry blueberry cashew salad with chicken, the FEZ fries, the lamb sliders, calamari that stayed crispy even after it had cooled (our fault, due to lengthy conversation), pesto caesar salad, and my favorite brunch item, the FEZ omelette, with a generous serving of gyro meat tucked in the eggs. They have a tasty house red and very good brunch cocktails. The only thing that keeps us from being more frequent visitors is the drive into downtown. Wish they might consider expansion westward, either to the Westgate entertainment district or to the Estrella Falls mall project, if it ever launches.
