| - This is actually a pretty neat location, and although I missed the Target that once graced us with its presence on this same spot, the LA Fitness that came afterwards isn't so bad. I didn't really interact with the staff except for the normal "hi" when I'm being scanned in. As you're walking in, the first thing you'll see to the right is straight into the pool and hot tub area. It never bothered me when I was using the pool, but for others, I can see that as being an issue. You walk right into their cardio machines, which seem to be plentiful. Although I never tried a spin class here, I'm intrigued by the stadium-style arrangement of the equipment. Better acoustics while the instructor is yelling, perhaps? The free weights area is really nice and spread out, and the monochromatic dark gray color scheme of their equipment is very relaxing. Nothing too loud or obnoxious, well... maybe except for the occasional wannabe-endomorph popping right through. Speaking of meatheads, the only beef I have is that for the size of their gym, they only have 2 squat racks and 1 power rack. Shame!
