| - To Whom This May Concern,
On May 26th, we visited Laurier Optical so that my mother could purchase new glasses. She was told it would be available for pick-up within a week. After a week, she was called to pick up the glasses, and returned to the store a couple of days after receiving that call. When she arrived at the store to pick them up, she was told that they "couldn't find them" and that she'd have to return at a later date to pick them up. She told the employee (named Zehra) that she would NOT be returning, and asked to have the glasses delivered to her home free of charge, as she lives in Brampton and thought it was ridiculous that they "couldn't find" her glasses. Zehra agreed to have them delivered, and wrote this on her receipt before leaving the store. After this conversation, there was no contact until my mother called to inquire about when the glasses would be delivered, and she was told that they would be dropped off on June 6th after the store closed. My mother waited at home until 10:30 pm that night, only to have NO ONE show up or call. The next day, my mom called the store, and she was told again that they would arrive between 4-7 pm that day. 7 o'clock came and passed, and still, no call nor did anyone show up. When she called the store again, she was told someone was on their way. The glasses were finally delivered, with NO apology or acknowledgment of the entire situation.
We have been buying our glasses at Laurier Optical for the past few years, but have never experienced such horrible customer service. As a customer, our expectation is to receive quality service from the minute we walk in the store until the minute we leave with our purchase. That obviously did not happen, and are very disappointed in how the situation was handled.
