  • I'm giving two stars because the employees I've spoken with on the phone were pleasant, and that's worth two stars to me. I ordered TruGreen service this spring. I have a couple of bare patches in my lawn where I wanted to plant grass, and I understand that new grass can't grow where TruGreen sprays. So I canceled the service after two applications. Whatever - I may be wrong about that, but my beef comes with the guy who called me to try to get my business back. I told him that I had canceled because I couldn't afford it (partly true; mainly I said that to avoid any argument/long discussion about what I mentioned above). He was very nice and friendly, but then offered me a reduced price. I said I would have to think about it and run some numbers. He THEN said if I could hold on, he'd check with his supervisor to see if he could offer an even lower price. Yes, just like a stereotypical used car salesman. And that price was about $20 per application cheaper than I had been paying. Which means all these poor suckers who are paying the regular price are getting screwed? Just another shady company with arbitrary pricing. I don't trust them.
