| - I'm giving WF two stars not because I don't like it, because I do, but because they have so many areas to improve on, and so many areas that aren't up to par with Whole Foods locations in other cities.
Pros: The awesome 365 brand of packaged foods is hard to beat. Usually nice clean products, although not always organic, at prices similar to what you would spend for not as good or as clean products at a regular store. Excellent meat/butcher selection and fish market.
Cons: A lot of the pros are things that make WF anywhere great, but the cons are all specific to this location. The produce selection is small. It's always good quality but I've never seen such a small produce selection at a WF. When I go to a WF I expect tot be able to choose from 10+ types of apples, 3-5 varieties of nectarines or pears or grapes. That's not the case at this location. The cookie bar is good but the cookie bars at other locations have glass doors on them to keep the cookies more fresh. Also, this location used to have the yummy doozie style cookies and the delicious raspberry shortbread but lately they seem to have tons of rock hard, boring sugar cookies. And why are chocolate covered pretzels taking up real estate in the cookie bar? The multi level layout is irritating although I understand necessary due to the urban location. But they make it very difficult to shop there with small children. They don't have the race car style carts that all other WF stores have, so if you have more than one small child they don't want your business, or you have to always go with two adults. And the kids club area is above the cafe rather than on the first floor. What a huge pain! I've never been to a less family friendly WF, and I've been to many! They also have stocking issues. On my trip this week there was no 365 organic whole milk, no rotisserie chickens (at approx 10:45am), and all of the 1lb size clamshells of spinach or super greens were expiring within 2 days.
Overall, WF is awesome. They're a great company and I love their products. This particular location leaves a lot to be desired.
