I am giving Strong Young Movers one star because ZERO stars is not an option.
On the day of my long awaited move date, the movers had not arrived by 12:00 p.m. - the end of the three-hour window I was told to expect. I finally received a call at about 1:30 PM. and was told that the first job had taken longer than expected and that they would be at my house in about an hour. I was fine with this time frame, and remained friendly and professional. At 2:50 PM. the crew arrived, I showed them around, pointed out the items I needed moved, and signed paperwork.
At 3:30 PM. I was informed that the crew needed to leave to pick up a dolly. They left and I waited and waited and waited - to make a long story short - they never returned.
I attempted to call the head crew member's cell and the moving company repeatedly with no answer. Well into the evening, I left one last final message with the moving company asking for an explanation and reiterating my need to move. At 10:30 PM. I received a call and was told that the moving company didn't know any more than I did and basically did not have an explanation. It was suggested that I try another company as they weren't sure if the crew had quit or if they would be available to move me the next day or later in the week.
I asked to be called again in the morning with more information - still hoping that my move would take place. I was called at 9:00 AM. the next morning and was told to use another company and was given two names and numbers (both were both poorly reviewed and not recommended). All I received in the way of an apology for wasting an entire day of my time and money - not to mention the stress of quickly finding someone else to move me was - "Sorry for the trouble."
