Enjoyed two nights at the luxurious Aria hotel and splurged on the tapas at Julian Serrano.
We called up about eight tapa plates.
My favorites:
**Spanish Tortilla: A wedge of rich potato and egg heaven with onions and aioli bread. Delicious tasting and filling torta.
**Arroz Valenciana: A rectangular shaped rice plate with vegetables, Spanish chorizo pork, chicken, and saffron. Also a rich and filling dish. This reminds me of my grandma's arroz Valenciana with modern presentation.
**YellowTail Tiradito: This tapa is delicious if you like fresh fish. The yellowtail is presented in a filo-dough with horseradish cream, and then sprinkled with sweet/sour Japanese ponzu sauce. Exquisite and complex tapa.
**Tuna Carpaccio: Another fresh tasting fish tapa with basil, sundried tomatoes, and toasted pine nuts. The dish is brought together beautifully with a balsamic glaze.
At happy hour, the Spanish Rioja wine & Red Sangria are a treat at $7 and $5 respectively. Again, I could not decide on which drink to call up..I enjoyed both.
The large space is located just left of the main lobby with bright cheery décor. Great spot to people watch.
Our server, Jason, provided us excellent service. Compliments to Jason for adding to the five star tapa food experience. The staff is pleasant and service is top notch.
I recommend this place for your next tapa stop.
