| - If you have any plumbing issues, this is the only company you should call to get the job done right.
A little background:
I called another plumbing company that I found here to help me with replacing a bathtub faucet cartridge that was eternally stuck in the pipe (I broke it off at the stem from my DIY efforts). That plumber had to use a blowtorch to melt the cartridge out, and then put a new cartridge back in. He did the work, got paid, and then left. I got home and noticed that water hammer (where the pipes clank around after you flush etc.) was now happening in both bathrooms and the washing machine, which was definitely not there prior. I called up the plumber and he said he that noticed it too (gee thanks), and then suggested I could try a few things. I checked out all those things - air chambers, water hammer arrestors, etc. but they seemed to be work more suited for a plumbing professional to do.
I decided to not waste anymore time and thankfully found Mountain Valley Plumbing LLC on yelp. I called them up and they were able to come the next morning. They put on shoe covers every time they came into the house, checked and installed a pressure reducing valve (with my OK of course) since the water pressure was about 10psi higher than what it should have been, and then proceeded to take out the cartridge the other plumber put in, clean out the gunk inside the pipe that should have been cleaned out by the first plumber, test 3-4 other cartridges they had, and then drove to Home Depot to get a genuine Moen part (all of the other ones were rebuilds). That nailed the water hammer problem (pun intended). Once I was satisifed, they gave me my invoice, I handed them a check, and they were off.
This company doesn't have a lot of reviews on yelp, so you could check out kudzu, where they have close to 140 reviews (http://www.kudzu.com/m/m-1181654) to help you with your decision. Go with them. You'll be happy that you did.
