| - I really like pie, and just earned the Duke Crown of the best freakin pie in the land, and may I say, I know pie! I've had several of the fabulous Miss Traci's fruit pies, obviously, so its high time I post my review.
I don't care much for cake, and not a fan of chocolate. Ice cream is great, but if I have a choice, I'll always go the pie way, but it's gotta be good pie, like anything, or why even bother.
When I moved back to PHX last Fall, I went searching for Pie and found Pie Snob to be highly recommended. Rhubarb is not always an easy find, but PS had it fresh and oh my my! Flaky, Flavorful crust and tart, sweet filling had me coming back for more.
What really rounds out Pie Snob is the service behind the deliciousness. Read up on how she came to be, but who she is today is what will keep this wonderful local, Snob of a Baker around for a long time!
You must place an order by phone, so be clear, polite, and leave your message of what you'd like. Be specific, too, regarding when you need it, and she'll bend over backwards to accommodate. She's always returned the call by next day, and will discuss what you're looking for. Like I mentioned in one of my tips, ask for recommendations.
I'm going to Jefe' annual pool party tomorrow, and since the theme is AZ Food and Brew, Traci suggested the JalapeƱo Green Chili Apple...I can't wait to sink my teeth into it. Is it proper to sample a slice before bringing a pie to a party?
