  • On the first shopping trip, this store appears to be the greatest thing since sliced bread. However, upon closer examination it is not. It gets only one star and would get less than that if I could give them a negative number of stars, First because they build the first two stores right on top of each other on the north side of town, how convenient for those people on the north side of town. Then they build a dozen of them where? In the east valley of course, while there is not even one in Central Phoenix, Scottsdale or the West Valley. Thanks a lot Winco, way to show us how much you value our business. Then I see that there are some good prices on some sale items but they must be close to expiration or something because you never see them like that again. Have you looked in the OTC aisle? It is ridiculous. Nearly five dollars for a small bottle of Tums, this stuff makes Safeway and Albertsons look like discount stores. I just can't really find any good everyday prices. The best deals are no better than Fry's and that just is not very good. We are led to believe they would be great prices, everyday. They say they do not have advertised prices because all their prices are so great, everyday. Guess what, they are not great prices, they are not even good. I thought we would get a reprieve from Walsmarts. I guess we have to wait for Aldi. The bulk foods have me coming back and stocking up, because it is a hellishly long drive and that is usually all I will buy. Any other good prices, I can find from the sale prices at the other stores, CLOSE to home and often cheaper. Other stores have better selections, how can this store be so big and have so few selections? Oh, the produce is a quite spendy for a 'discount' store. Get a clue and have sales like everyone else, if you cannot bring your selves to have a news paper flyer then just put it on a website for heavens sakes. We are in the age of technology. I really wish Mega Foods would come back with bulk foods, that was a good store with great prices.
