| - Lucked out on a table for 4 without a reservation. This place gets busy even on a Tuesday night! Food was fab- way better than the last time. Service a little confusing- so many waiters and none who could take a drink order- but since all the dishes we tried were so good, I can overlook this.
- Kale falafel- these were crispy on the outside and almost creamy on the inside. Not sure what goes into the "special sauce" but I wanted to eat it with a spoon.
- Beet and melon salad- I was skeptical of good watermelon in late October, but it was so sweet, as were the roasted red beets. This was a super fresh starter. Loved the salty/crunchy contrast that the goat cheese crumbles and pumpernickel croutons added.
- Asian pears with persimmons and pomegranates- why aren't persimmons showing up on menus everywhere? They are so good! This was another fab dish for sharing. Goat curds were a delightful new discovery for me.
- Lamb stuffed tomatoes- I'm not a fan of ground lamb or pine nuts, but the hummus was good and tomatoes sweet. This was not a dish I would order, but others seemed to like it.
- Butternut and delicata squash- yum! Loved the lime and mint in this dish.
- Grilled eggplant with pomegranate and yogurt- Another tasty winner- smoky, tart, creamy. So many flavors going on.
- Pasta with bacon, potato, and pesto- pasta was cooked really well, a bit al dente, just how I like it.
Not a place for cocktails (the negroni riff was meh and the blood orange drink too sweet), but there are other good spots nearby for this.
Definitely recommend this place, esp if you have a group that likes to share. What the chef does with veggies is out of this world.
