Scarpetta is all hype and price - not worth either.
The space is cold and vacuous. - not as scenster or happening as I would have expected. Everyone seemed over dressed - like they were on a big night out from the burbs...not at all like the vibe on the roof top. Reminded me of Vegas or the Time Warner Center in NYC - a fake environment plopped down in a hotel. We had a group of 12 in the private room and they limited our choices - always annoying! Wines were overly marked up - 10$ more than other restaurants - really expensive menu - and the quality and presentation was hardly amazing. Price for the sake of price.
My spaghetti was very good - much better than the beef tenderloin most people ordered - if you go, get pasta...even at 30plus a bowl it is a better option!
I won't return. Not an authentic spot and not worth the moola.
