They told me over the phone that if I didn't bring the car back on time I was going to lose my deposit and when I brought the car back they still took my deposit. They also use scare tactics. They tell you that they will report the car stolen if you are not back by 5 p.m. sharp by the due date. I called them up and told them I was going to be late because of compilations and they said it doesn't matter and that they were going to call the cops if I didn't bring the car in!
These guys are a bunch of goons. They advertise for $129 for the week for a car and that all you need is a licence and $300 cash for a deposit, which will cover the cost of the car and will be refunded to you upon returning the car. When you get in there they will tell you they ran out of cars to get you all down and mad! Then they will say they have one for you for $189 for the week! Then when you moan and groan they will give it to you for $129 and make you feel happy. They then push papers on you and you are so grateful to even get the car at this point you sign whatever and it is all sloppy bullshit, but it states that you owe them even more money than the $300 when they point out their sloppy handwriting out later. THAT IS FRAUD! To tell someone something that is completely false! THERE IS NO CHANCE OF ANY REFUND...IT IS 100% $300 cash for the week and if you give them a credit card, I am sure they will quickly add on more charges! When I verbally asked this fat goon what it would run me he told me about 230 with insurance and in the end he ended up taking my whole $300 and told me don't worry about the $25 dollars I owe him for a low gas tank! LOL, the gas tank wasn't even low!
They are thieves. The car they gave me was an old Mini Van with the Engine Check light on and all busted locks, lights, knobs. They stole my deposit.
People have to start calling the police and the police should start handling these punks. They advertise a service and give you total dog shit and the moment you complain all the goons come out of the back office and they tell you to leave on the loud speaker and tell you that "we have been in business for 50 years", "we are not going anywhere!"
When I was in there, a lady who I didn't know started yelling at them before I did because they stole her money too! Crazy! And now that I am thinking about it, I believe she is just a plant, who knows one of the guys who works there. I called in advance and they knew I was coming and expected my money back and they sent this Spanish lady in there to complain and yell and then back down and accept the loss, trying to prime me up to do the same. These are their tactics. They are smart criminals. They buy up the junkers and have in-house mechanics fixing them just enough to keep them running around town. That is why they tell you you can leave the general area, for they know they will start to break down and cause headaches.
I suggest that everyone else who got screwed by them call the cops. Maybe after enough people complain they will get shut down!
BULLY COMPANIES NEED TO ALL BE SHUT DOWN!!!
