  • After trekking through Toronto seeking out the perfect Butter Tart I came upon the Future Bakery located inside the St. Lawrence Market. At first I was overwhelmed by the large selection of various flavored tarts. I wanted to try them all. However, I thought to myself "stick with your mission, pace yourself, get the Butter Tart". But after one bite of their Butter Tart it had me wishing I could go back in time and reverse that mistake. The center left a horrible after taste in my mouth and the crust is barely worth mentioning. It was just bad. If I could do it over again I would have gone with the Custard Tart or one of their many other tarts. Despite my bad experience with the Butter Tart I would still come back to try one of their other baked goods afterall something has to be good here, right?
