| - I have had the original Monta on my bookmarks for, like, ever, but if we were driving all the way to Chinatown, my husband never wanted to get ramen. Yay for Monta Chaya, right down the street from us!
The atmosphere inside is very austere - hip and asian-feeling!
It's small, probably seats about 20-25, but we didn't have to wait on a Thursday night.
Prices are good. $7 for a bowl of ramen, a little extra to add eggs/more bean sprouts/extra pork/etc.
Most importantly, it's good! We had the pork tonkatsu, pork miso, fried rice, and the fried spicy tuna (I think that's what it's called). Everything was really good, and we were so full we didn't even finish it all. I'll definitely be back, and will bring the kids!
