| - I'm not quite sure why they're called cutepots, but they're tasty noodles. I had one of the non-spicy ones with beef shank for $8.90. I asked for no cilantro. They verbally confirmed that it was no cilantro. Then, I found cilantro in it. Downer. Thankfully, my friend wanted more cilantro, so I gave it to her.
I quite like the idea of the cart with many condiments we can add to our noodles. However, the cart stays on one side of the table, so for people like me who were on the inside of the booth, it was a little inconvenient for us to add condiments to our noodles, especially if we wanted a number of them the way I did. I couldn't actually see all the choices from my vantage point. I ended up adding chopped raw garlic, green onions, cucumbers, two kinds of pickled veggies, chili oil, and sichuan pepper oil. That last one was pretty impressive. It's floral and numbing, but doesn't pack much heat. I want some for home. I've never seen it in that form before. Love it.
There was a decent amount of beef shank in my noodles. I also posted to Instagram to get 2 pieces of free marinated pig feet. Those were alright, but next time, I wouldn't go through the hassle, even if they were free.
I wouldn't mind coming back, especially because it's convenient for lunch right now. My friend got the sesame cold noodles. They smelled amazing. That's what I'm getting next time.
