I'll start out by saying I'm hyper flexible, so I tend to have problems with utilizing some of my limbs (read--hands and thumbs) without getting injured. The downward dog is not my friend I daresay. I need to adjust the pose so that I'm leaning on my elbows and arms instead of my hands. The class was somewhat advanced for a beginner like myself, but if you already know what you are doing, I think this would be a good place to go. The instructor told me I would be better served by doing a private class due to my flexibility issues. I am afraid of injuries, and I agree. I was told that Hatha (sp?) yoga would be the best type to do, as opposed to whatever brand of yoga we practiced at the Yelp event for Best of Cleveland.
