  • This is on my list of Charlotte favorites. Beef Brisket was awesome. Got the half and half (lean and fatty). While the fatty piece was truly fatty, it blended well with the lean to provide a very satisfying taste. Even though I love brisket and BBQ, the large 10oz serving was pretty hefty. 6oz serving of pork or brisket appeared to satisfy my entire party so keep in mind that the bigger platter comes with the extra side so that could also factor in your decision of 6oz versus 10oz or heck - possibly even share a 10oz platter with a friend. Bacon wrapped jalapenos could easily make an appetizer menu at any bar or restaurant across the country. It truly was the hidden gem on my platter. It wasn't that spicy and bacon wrapped anything.... well, it's just plain cool and great! Mac & cheese was enjoyable. Staff was awesome with service & refills. She was quick to make recommendations and the manager came by to ask how we were doing and thanked us for stopping in. Definitely felt the Southern hospitality at Midwood!
