| - Super excited about this business, and excited to go back and hopefully bump them up to five stars.
Hours:
-not real clear on their hours. I stopped by at 2 (when I was told they opened), no one was there. Stopped by later and it was open. Call ahead.
Merchandise:
-lots of vintage men and women's clothes (baseball tees to band tees to leather fringe vests to 90s floral dresses to flannels)
-modest assortment of men and women's boots (mostly black, Doc Martens style)
-some accessories in the way of jewelry, sunglasses, belt buckles, scarves, etc.
-a small rack of modified "new" clothing: Beso de Muerto cutoff shorts, fringed concert tees.
-sizing of ladies clothes runs small. Honest moment: I usually wear a size 8 jean and a medium top and was unable to fit into most of their items :(
Layout:
-bungalow style house converted into a store, like so many other businesses on this block. Definitely a cool feel.
-one changing room slash bathroom (with a shower?! does it work?!)
-sale items on front porch
-Veronica "Ronnie" the store mascot pup, roaming the store
Staff:
-the two ladies who were working the weekend I stopped by were very nice and helpful. They gave me more info on the sizing of Beso de Muerto shorts and offered to take down my info for the girl to contact me on making some customized stuff. I've not heard from her since.
Price:
-here's where they lose a star: exorbitant pricing. They undoubtedly have cool stuff, mostly all vintage with some new items, which are all being sold for way above "thrift store price." I get that they glean through all the Goodwill racks and save me a lot of time by condensing the "rockstar clothes" into one place (which I greatly appreciate) but the markup is insane. $30 for a 90s floral print dress? I could make a killing cleaning out my closet!
What I bought:
-Beso de Muerto black cutoff shorts with studs
-Bullet Pendants with Crystal (local vendor)
-total: $73.64 (!!!) :0
altogether, I'm psyched about this business but will stop by for the rare purchase as quite frankly, I can't keep taking these blows to my wallet... or my ego...
