Do not allow these people to vaccinate your dog. Last week, these people administered a cripplinngly painful set of vaccines to my 12 week old puppy. At first she was lethargic and slept. About two hours later the poor thing was shrieking in pain. I have never seen a puppy in that kind of pain in my life and I have raised two other dogs over the past 14 years. The poor puppy was shaking, shrieking in pain and there was nothing we could do. She couldn't even sit down, we thought we were going to lose her. It broke our hearts to put her into a crate but we had no choice - she had to go to a 24 hour vet. The poor dog cried her heart out as we put her in the crate - she was so overwhelmed she threw up in the car on the way to the VEC emergency clinic. At the VEC, the emergency veterinarian had to urgently inject our puppy several times to counteract the bad vaccines improperly administered by this clinic. Our puppy was prescribed opiate pain killers, medication to continue to counteract the bad and improperly administered vaccines as well as pedilite to help rehydrate her. After almost 3 days of constant monitoring and administration of several medications, our puppy looks like she is going to pull through.
We contacted this vet on Sunday and were told the vet was sorry and would cover the almost 300$ emergency vet bill. We received a call today from another vet at this clinic telling us the bill was our problem. The vet even went as far as to say that the emergency vet was a close personal friend of hers and that she received a text message about the condition of our puppy even before we contacted them about the emergency.
We feel lied to and taken advantage of by this vet. This vet upsold unnecessary injections, improperly administered those injections and went back on its commitment to cover the costs of its malfeasance!
We are shocked and outraged by this vet's behaviour. They have added insult to injury by lying to us. Remember, there is a reason this vet asks to take your pet "into the back" before they administer an injection.
