I took my cat here for a rabies shot and to get some help with his scratching. Whenever we move him to a new house, he gets stressed out and makes gashes on his face. This time was way worse than others so I decided to get him checked out and see what Lakewood Animal Hospital could do.
I made an appointment with ease and the staff was friendly and to the point. I came a little early and I was taken in without wait anyways.
However, the whole visit was stressful for not only me but my cat as well. The vet rushed in and out without letting me explain what was wrong with my cat. I think she read 'rabies shot' on the paper and wanted to get just that done. Maybe she had a busy day ahead of her, I don't know, but she refused to let me talk about the scratching and butted in every other word. She then left after saying 'it will get better' and didn't give me anything to cure it.
I payed 60 dollars for a rabies shot and a two minute one sided conversation.
I made an appointment with Roberts & Wendt Animal Hospital the next day and my cat was taken care of much better there. He was given a shot to help with the scratching and it has already cleared up.
