  • I joined this gym after trying it for one day, I think its crap that's all they'll give you. How do you possibly try out an entire gym in one day? I did like it better than the others in town. Sure, It was big and had an impressive amount of machines and no wait to use them. The track is cool too and they have a good amount of classes and tons of stretching equipment. But when you get in here and really see- its missing all kinds of basic equipment. This gym caters to heavy lifting and people who love machines. They are completely neglecting an entire group of people who like functional and hiit type workouts. You have to be really creative to get that here. This gym has NO KETTLEBELLS. What gym doesn't have kettlebells??? Even EOS has kettlebells. I've asked about this and you have to take the class to use them or I was told "you could swing a dumbbell". Seriously disappointing. There are so many ways a dumbbell would not work in place of a kettlebell. MEDICINE BALLS- this gym has so many but they ALLLLLL WEIGH 8LBS!? I am not a body builder by any means and I could use a 15- 25lb medicine ball with and without handles for so many things. This was a huge disappointment as well. I keep asking trainers (who are using them with clients) and no one knows if there are more. Odd. Shouldn't they know??? I have searched high and low and i actually did find ONE 10lb ball in the women's area. And Yes, there are 6 large slam balls in the crossfit area but those also don't work for everything either. BATTLE ROPES. None. In my opinion, this is also basic equipment that again, even EOS has. AB WHEELS- None. Also basic. And I'm pretty sure even heavy lifters like these. NO TIRES- 24 hr fitness has a few of these smashed in their tiny gym and every gym I've been to has had them. I think it's basic... not as basic as a KB or MED BALL, but basic. The TRX- they have them, but you're lucky if you can use them. They're in with the cross-fit area. At 9am- there's no room in that tiny space to use them. You'll be in the way, bumping into people. It'd be nice if they had TRX some other place in gym too. They also don't offer sliders, ankle weights, resistance bands or jump ropes. Not the end of the world. I do have my own and bring them, but It's just frustrating when you can't have a bag on the floor. All this gym offers is size and machines. They are totally excluding a population of people who love functional workouts.
