I had a technician come out to diagnose a problem in my home last week. The gentleman was nice and set the tone he would be diagnosing the problem with our HVAC system. He was very knowledgeable and shared his insights with resulting in a diagnosis of the issue. No complaints thru here, very pleased.
My problem was with the billing. I understood the service call fee and the leak search fee but the charge per pound of Freon is absolutely outrageous compared to industry standard pricing for R410. They added 3.2 pounds of Freon at $82 per pound. The average from other companies locally is between $30-40 per pound. I agreed to Freon added but would have never agreed if I knew it would be that much per pound. I feel ripped off. I voiced my complaint of the Freon charge to the technician and he shrugged me off.
To summarize, these people know what theyre doing. They are reliable, they are on time, and they know their stuff. However, their pricing for the Freon is outrageous and it definitely matters to this customer. The total bill was nearly $400 for just a diagnosis.
6/16/2017 UPDATE: For potential new customers, you can measure the quality of a company based on how quickly they respond when there is a problem. In this case, they apologized and corrected a billing error on their freon pricing. I have updated my review from 2-stars to 4-stars.
