Not sure what happened, but I've had two exceptionally poor service visits in a row.
Had a 9 AM appointment for an oil change and checkup for an AC issue we are having on our Honda. Arrived at 8:50 AM. Waited. Finally was checked in at 9:05 AM. Told it would take 2 - 3 hours. Chris S was our "helper".
After 3.75 hours, I had not heard a thing, so I called. A lady called back and said Chris had to step out and that they were just starting to look at the AC issue. I said that was fine, but that I'd need to pick up the car by 2:30 PM-- 5.5 hours after I dropped it off and 2.5 hours after they said it would be done at the latest. She said cool and noted that Chris would call as soon as he got back.
Not a single call from Chris.
I arrived to pick the car up at 2:25 PM. Found Chris and he says they have not started looking at the AC yet after all. Asked me if I'd like to wait. Nope. Asked me when to reschedule for. Weak apology and some clamoring at a keyboard from him, followed by a terse "I'll let you know" from me. And I finally get to check out at the counter.
Time to look for the next closest Honda dealer. This Earnhardt place is series of disappointments the past 1.5 years. Probably the same reason the dates on their series of Customer Service Award banners stopped.
And if I get a Honda survey again, I'll definitely communicate the poor service I experienced. As a 3-time new car customer at this dealership, I had thought them a better outfit than this.
