Unfortunately, this is one of those situations in which it's impossible to base a review entirely on the quality of the food. If I were to review the food alone, it would be 4 stars. What they do, they do quite well. The pizza is good and the brunch is a bit of a diamond in the rough. But, the condition of the main dining room simply cannot be glossed over and the 3 stars I am giving Trio might be too generous in this context. The decor is "Early 90s Dentist Office", but that's not the problem. The issue is the carpet, which might need to be carbon dated if we'd like to know its real age. The mildewy, moldy smell coming from it permeates the restaurant and is extremely unpleasant. This place needs some serious investment if it is to be anything but take out only.
