| - I liked this property 7 years ago when it was a Hotel Indigo and you know what? I like it just as much 7 years later as an Aloft.
+Welcoming staff, from front desk to the super sweet bartender lady who works evenings
+Comfy, basic, spacious room
+Beds that you won't want to get out of
+Bliss products in the shower (extra + is that they are large containers, so that means you use as much as you need and no wasteful tiny bottles)
+Bar/hangout area with an inviting terrace component
Less awesome:
-The Gym
It's very small, so that if you're three people in there at the same time, especially if you're using weights, it feels like you have no space. Also, working out in the afternoon when the sun is at a certain angle is pure torture in there. Shades would rectify the situation. One of the only 3 elliptical machines wasn't working properly, so keeping an eye on equipment is needed.
-Shower pressure is weak
-the thin walls... I think this is a thing in most Alofts, given the nature of the spaces they set up shop in, but earplugs are provided and if you call ahead and ask, they will try and put in you in a room on the "quiet side" of the building (late night noise in the streets is an issue for some people as there's a thriving nightlife here on weekends).
In short, at this price point, it's a good choice. It's comfortable, close to restaurants/nightlife and a quick walk to many conveniences.
