Staying at the RIO was amazing. When we first got there we waited in a huge line to check in due to the automated check in screens weren't working for anyone. When we finally got to the teller, he had no customer service experience what so ever and kept yawning every other word. We were trying to ask questions and he would give us one worded answers.
After leaving with him we were trying to find the elevators that take us up to our room and we couldn't find them anywhere. After searching for 5 minutes we asked someone who worked there. He directed us to the elevator and was very very nice. After getting on the elevator, WHICH GOES VERY FAST UP AND DOWN; we got to our room and it smelt of weed. We didn't so much mind the weed smell but did not want to get charged for smoking in the room so we walked back down to the front desk which was at least a 10 minute ordeal... and got a new room.
After settling in and showering we headed downstairs to the casino area and began our search for something to eat. We didn't like that the pool was closed and we didn't like how expensive room service dining was. We would hope next time were there it will be cheaper. Anyways, we ended up eating at guy Fieri's Mexican restaurant which I also did a review on. AMAZING! after finishing dinner we went back up to our room, relaxed and fell asleep. The shower was nice, the floor to ceiling windows were beautiful and the view was just as beautiful. We would highly recommend staying here!
