  • (Girlfriend posting) This place blew my expectations out of the water. I am usually very weary of going to salons because they are so expensive and usually don't do a very good job. Here was different though. I had Jenny as my stylist. She is new to divine but don't let that scare you away from her. She definitely knows her stuff. I was switching for a light brown/blonde to a dark red and getting a cut. Before starting, they informed me about the upkeep of my hair and the cost which i appreciate so I knew what I was getting myself into. They noticed my hair was 2 different colors and planned accordingly to that, mixing 2 different dyes so they would much throughout. She also worked fast and kept a conversation going without it feeling forced or awkward. It only took about an hour and half for all of my hair, both dye and cut (which is amazing because my hair is really long and really thick). Divine really makes you feel at home. Other things I really appreciate about divine is the cost and how much they care about the clients. Almost every employee I interacted with was very nice and courteous. I say almost because there was one who was helping Jenny and she was the one talking to me up the upkeep and cost. Like I said I appreciate that conversation, what I didn't appreciate is the tone/way it was told to me. She acted as if I wasn't capable of doing that. It might have been just how I interpreted it, but she was very off putting. Employees kept offering me water and at the end I got a card and coupons to come back. I have never heard a salon doing this. Now the big shocker of this whole trip was the price. It only cost me $75 for the color and $25 for the cut (I found out it is $35 for a cut and style). I also got 25% for being a new client (not sure if this is always a thing but I saw it on their website and mentioned it). That is by far the cheapest salon I have ever been to. I usually have to pay upward to $150 for a dye and cut for my hair, not including tip. Overall, I love this place and will go back. There seemed to be a lot of regulars there too.
