Tired of my current doctor, and having felt pretty sick for a couple of days, I called this office because my husband had gone there a couple of times. I got an appointment that same day. I arrived at the appointment, filled out the new patient paperwork and was called inside within 15 minutes. That's light-speed when we are talking about doctor's offices. Since I knew I had a cold/flu/strep, I had made an appointment with the NP, Deborah Grischo. She was very personable and asked me a lot of questions since I was a new patient. I really appreciated all the questions, you could tell she really wanted to take a medical picture of me before assessing me. When I told her I had an incomplete physical this year, she immediately recommended I come in for blood work for blood sugar, cholesterol...the tyipical stuff. But what really showed her care was that she didn't dismiss a couple of issues I've had that all other doctors have dismissed since I was 18. One is that I obviously have an enlarged thyroid, and the other is the drastic history of colon cancer in my family. She addressed both these concerns and established a course of action. It was so refreshing not having a doctor dismiss your concerns quickly to move on to the next patient.
I wish I had listened to my husband and switched doctors ealier.
