  • While visiting the Charlotte area this weekend my friend recommended that we visit Reggae Central. We looked every where to find out what time the establishment would be open on Saturday, even as far as making several calls to no avail there was no answer nor answering machine. So we decided to take a drive to visit the location. As we approached, the owner Carolyn was pulling up, didn't know she was the owner only assumed at the time, so we waited patiently for her to park. She proceeded to unchain the gate and we asked what time she'd be opened for business, mind you she was talking on her cell phone, not once to greet us but only to say they opened at noon. So I asked what time it was currently and without pause she rudely stated it was not noon yet, mind you it was 11:57, and continues with her telephone conversation. As I'm always seeking to patronize locally owned businesses, I feel customer service is not their forte and appeared she had no interest in our money. We visited a shop a few doors up called Clutch and the gentleman was very professional and helpful. Very disappointed with Reggae Centrals approach and what a waste of time making the trip there. We as a people have to do better!
