  • I heart meat. St Lawrence Upper Cut is one of the many meat stalls open daily in the South Market building of the St Lawrence Market. Upper Cut has the best location - it's the first butcher stall in the middle aisle, directly in front of you as you enter via the Front Street main doors. I often end up buying my meat from here after perusing all the other stalls. The pre-made fresh souvlaki skewers (beef, lamb, chicken and pork) are a bargain at $1 each. They also have huge 6oz beef burgers for only $1 a piece. They have every cut of meat you could possibly be looking for, it's one of the biggest stalls in the market. They have plenty of staff and they are always super friendly. The prices are very good for the most part, although the meat is not quite as high end or fancy as the stuff at the Witteveen butcher next door.
