My car was booted at the Starbucks on East and Kenilworth. The boot was loose enough for me to pry off of my wheel then the tow truck driver (Tim), who I think might be the owner, attacked me and shoved me into the side of my vehicle and then grabbed my car keys and threw them at my car, a brand new Lincoln that I just bought one week prior. I filed a police report and the following day was contacted by NBC Charlotte who is running a story about predatory towing in Charlotte. The boot was put on my vehicle in a matter of 2 minutes when I had ran into Starbucks to pick up my pregnant wife's mobile order. This tells me that they were waiting in the parking lot and watched me get out of my car and walk inside rather than stopping me and telling me that I was not supposed to park there. The space I parked in had no sign indicating that I was not allowed to park there. There were a few other vehicles that were also booted. This guy was an absolute jerk and I hope his business gets shut down.
