| - As Andy S said, this is just the Mondrian renamed, so if you've stayed there before, you already know the deal. I had 3 years between stays and everything is exactly the same, including the really crappy bathrooms (shoddy paint job, old tub, mismatched corian counter) and wall unit A/C. Can you imagine not having central air in Scottsdale, for goodness sake? If you're really into rooms w/ nice bathrooms or quiet air systems, this is NOT the place for you.
The upside is that the common areas are really cool. Sexy, lounge-y main lobby & foyer, super cool boudoir-like bar lounge w/ indoor/outdoor seating, ethereal white restaurant. Furnishings overall are Kartell-esque. Gym (though dimly lit like a lounge - weird) & pool areas are also way better than you'd expect for a 3-star hotel like this.
Downsides: Overnight valet or self-park, doesn't matter, is $10. Restaurant hours are short (e.g., they closed @ 9p Wed night, bfast only served till 10a Thu AM then closed till dinner).
All in all, I wouldn't choose to stay here again, but a nice place for a secret rendez-vous & cocktail or two.
