| - A friend highly recommended this place. I had already eaten some, so I just got small bites at the bar. It was a random weeknight, so the bar was mostly empty, but that's how I like it if I'm dining solo. They also do a tasting menu and have a more formal dinner menu, but the bar menu looked more interesting to me (all are available at the bar).
The drink menu shows you where on the spectrum the cocktails are, but after I told him my preferences, the bartender was super helpful in creating a cocktail for me that would better suit my tastes. They also have an impressive whisky collection, including some pretty hard to find Orphan Barrel bourbons.
Food: this was dinner #2 for me, so I couldn't eat as much as I would have liked...
- Day boat scallops: nicely seared, super sweet, with super flavorful braised oxtail on the bottom, mushrooms, and broccolini. The salted caramel reduction was a bit sweet, but overall, the dish had great textures and flavors
- Slow poached egg: with thinly sliced smoked potato, potato puree, parmesan cream, Bellota, and truffles. This was like a major flavor bomb. It came with crostini, which was perfect for soaking up all the liquid. This dish is a must try.
I would definitely come back for those dishes I had. Prices were very reasonable by Vegas standards. Also, service at the bar was great - between the bartender and manager (?), people kept checking in to make sure I was having a good experience.
