Okay so I will admit I was suckered in by their promotion of "FREE WAX FOR FIRST-TIME GUESTS". I had never been waxed before so I did not know what to expect, let me tell you this is not pain free waxing. It burned and hurt a lot; I was bleeding and the wax specialist Meagan said it was normal, that an area that bleeds does not grow hair back. However she left me sticky and it hurt for days. :-(
Once I tried checking out I felt like I was teleported to a used cars dealership with all the high pressure sales - trying to sell me expensive products and expensive year memberships. I will confess they got me, I ended up falling for their trap and my "one free wax" ended up costing me $195! :O When my husband found out, he freaked out and when I went back to try and get my money back they said they could not do it. Only a manager can do refunds but that they would let the manager know to contact me. A week later a no one contacted me about my request for a refund, so I called EWC and asked to speak to their manager. The receptionist Jackie said the manager Susan she was in a meeting and that she would call me back. Hours later I call back ask to speak to Susan and the receptionist Jackie tells me Susan has left and that she did not know when she would be returning. Ugh I hate begging for my money back. I did finally receive my refund but not before getting scolded at by Susan.
Conclusion: painful wax, poor customer service, super HIGH pressure to buy their products and wax packages.
