Where do I start with The Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Las Vegas?
The good: it is a quiet alternative to staying in the louder "casino" hotels on the strip.
The strange: the elevators. You have to take two different elevators to get in/out, often having to go up only to go back down again in order to get to your room.
The bad: For a 5-star diamond hotel that supposedly prides itself on customer service, it was highly disappointing. When I checked in, my room hadn't been dusted or vacuumed (lots of sock fluff and other things over the carpet from the prior guest) and the bed bench cushion was covered in stains. Staff weren't particularly helpful or responsive regarding the matter. I spent the majority of my stay having to call this person or that person. Hotel's social media account was completely unresponsive, unlike SPG hotels.
Overall: Poor service and underwhelming. Definitely not "one of the finest hotels" and not worth the stay.
