| - So I needed a cab in order to get to work today. When I called, I was on hold for a few minutes and then a woman picked up the phone. I scheduled a pick up and gave my address, and asked for an ETA. The woman then said, "Yes, I have an ETA." I said, "Okay... Can I please have the estimated time?" The woman didn't answer and when I said, "Hello?" She replied with "I'm here." So I again asked for an ETA and she responded with "The driver will be there in 5 to 20 minutes". The woman then promptly hung up on me. So I finished getting ready and waited outside.
I saw the cab pass me twice and after trying to flag them down, I called the cab company again. Another woman answered and recited my address, and it was incorrect. I gave my correct address and again waited about 15 minutes for the cab to arrive, which made me about 10 minutes late for work.
The only saving grace, and why they got 2 stars, is the cab driver I had. He was very professional and nice, chatty but not overly so. He even asked me the best route to get where I was going.
Because of the unprofessionalism of the first dispatch person I spoke with (she didn't even confirm my address or call back number) I am not sure I'll be using Discount Cab in the future.
