There are two wineries in Avon Lake, and this is the so-much-better of the two.
Firstly, the service. The woman who served us was an absolute peach. She was able to juggle up to seven customers in the tiny shop, pouring tastings and ringing up orders while making an effort to talk to everyone. She was able to offer suggestions and comments on all the wines, and made everyone feel very welcome.
The wine is.... good. Not Californian or Chilean or French good, but interesting and varied. The ice wines were super sweet, and the concords and roses were full of flavor without being too cloying. Most of the wines are more dessert-y than I usually drink, but I really enjoyed the shop.
There's no bar, so just come for a tasting and take your favorite bottle home with you. Very cute establishment!
