I lived there for a year and they are pretty decent apartments. You cannot beat the area which is fantastic.
Positives:
- Area
- walking path
- office staff
- near mcdowell mountains/views
- close to all the good shopping and restaurants in North Scottsdale
- price
- upgraded
Negatives:
-Parking in the Southeast area of the complex is nonexistent . Its so bad that people will routinely camp in spots for weeks. Its nearly impossible to get a parking spot even during the morning or early evening when most people are at work. I would pick my son of from school and come home around 3:30 to find all the open parking spaces near my apartment taken up most of the time. When I would get home from work around 8-9 am (night shift worker) the opened spots were still taken which is absolutely perplexing. Some of the worst open parking I've ever seen although I believe its isolated only to the Southeast area of the complex.
- While the apartments were upgraded, they were cheaply done. Towel racks frequently falling off, carpet tack strips exposed for bare feet to step on.
- When we first moved in, the lady below us smoked like a Russian chimney and the smell permeated our apartment. Also moved into clogged shower drains, poor water pressure and tiny bathrooms.
- Internet/cable issues. My son did not have a coaxial in his room so no TV for him, nor did the wifi extend into his room which was super lame. Internet frequently dropped, variable wifi speeds. I believe since the apartments are dated, the newer internet technology is not meshing. I have the same ISP in my new apartment and the internet if faster and my son gets wifi in his room.
- Older build
- Sliding glass door to balcony was incredibly hard to close all the way and many times we would just have to leave it unlocked.
