| - Heard about Hurt's from a friend and decided to go with her after a fun girls weekend. We walked in and I was amazed by the number of donuts that were in the cases. There was literally a donut for every taste! They had red velvet, snickerdoodle, old fashioned, glazed, a Homer Simpson, lemon, cheesecake, and so many more!! I went back and forth for a good 10 minutes and finally decided on the lemon. However, not before asking about the lemon filling. I really do not like donuts that are filled, so I was wondering how much filling was in it. The lady behind the counter told me it was just a small amount in the middle and did not go inside the fluffy part of the donut at all. So, I decided to order it and it was okay. It was not super sweet like their other donuts that I tried, but I was not super impressed by the flavor. The donut felt heavy and was covered with a little too much frosting for my taste. There was not enough real lemon flavor--it tasted fake. I think that they could have skipped the lemon filling as well. I ended up eating around it as it was goopy and looked very artificial.
I liked the customer service and the atmosphere. There were plenty of seats and my friends and I did not feel pressure to leave once we finished our donuts.
I think that I will stick with Bosa Donuts when I am in the Phoenix area again.
