| - We stayed a week ago, and it was the first time we tried Linq but not our first time in Vegas. We come at least yearly to Vegas and we usually stay at Bally's or Rio. Once in a while we'll splurge for Aria or one of the other higher end hotels.
Location - It's a great mid point to all destinations. It's located right across from Ceasars' and honestly we didn't use our car the whole time we were there.
Environment - The hotel is definitely targeting the 20s to 30s crowd. They want you to check in via email or the kiosks in the lobby, the same with the checkout. The design is minimalist and modern and I really did like how the place felt. But once you got in the room, Linq takes minimalism to the extreme.
Rooms - The bed was itchy. The blankets were thin and stiff. There was only one trash can in the bathroom. You're really only provided with a hair dryer, soap, and towels. There are no clocks in the room. The walls are thin, you can hear people talking down the halls. I hate shower curtains in hotels, it gives me the worst idea of bacteria and mold and all the other people who have accidentally brushed into it while naked, it's just not an idea I want in my head while getting clean.
ELEVATORS - like everyone else has mentioned, the elevators were a problem. We weren't there for a super busy weekend so we didn't have as many problems as other people had noted, but having any problems at all was plain stupid. It usually took us 10 minutes to go up or down while waiting for an elevator with enough room to fit us. Also some of the other guests will purposely not move to accommodate extra people. But as long as you see space you should go for it.
I'm not asking for the best, like I said, I usually stay at Rio or Bally's, but for what Linq is charging they should be able to provide better. I can't say it's the worst place I've stayed at, but its definitely not worth.
