| - Massages at this location vary a lot based on the therapist who each have their own style. It's really important to tell them what you want at time of booking so they can recommend the right fit. Generally, the massages I've received are just ok. Nothing special but usually relaxing.
As for their facials however, don't waste your time or your money! What a joke. I had tried a facial about a year ago and felt like I was in an infomercial for their products. It was a very hard sell, relentless pressure to purchase things I didn't want or need but the therapist insisting that I really did need them.
So I tried again thinking maybe I'd have a better experience. Wrong. This time my therapist was late bringing me in, then let me wait on the table until 17 minutes after the hour. I was ready to dress and leave when she finally came bouncing in, proceeded to ask what products I use, and rushed through washing my face. There is no sink in the room so the same tiny bowl of cold water is reused over and over. When I explained that I was not interested in purchasing any products, she completely shut down.
The facial consisted of her literally slapping on three different products, a bit of steam, fifteen minutes of arm massage, and wipe it all off with the same dirty water as used originally. She didn't even remove my eye makeup!
The facial ended at 53 minutes past the hour making it essentially a 35 minute service of which 20 minutes was used on my face.
While I agree the facials are less expensive here, I seriously won't waste my money or my time again. It's much more worthwhile to get a good quality facial at someplace like Verde Maison or one of the day spas for very little extra money.
Massage Envy needs to stick to their core competency of affordable 'no frills' massage.
