| - A+ dental experience. Progressive, 21st century new practice in Henderson. Green company -- NO PAPERWORK, all electronic. Yesterday was my first visit to this office. Annual exam, X-rays, hygiene. Young, progressive, sharp, upbeat, highly professional team. Decided to give this office a try. I am 47 years old and usually only get basic services. GV Smiles Dentistry is different. First time here, greeted with ease, scheduled with ease, intake forms processed with ease, financial arrangements set up with ease. In the chair I was treated courteously, skillfully, comfortably, expeditiously, and I was informed of everything with TRANSPARENCY. My gum line measurements over the years have been 2 and 3. Yesterday I started getting a few 4s and 5s. (I eat way too much sugar.) Dr. Velayo explained what she believed was the untreated deterioration happening in my mouth. She explained the science of it in easy terms as to what could become of it in the future if I were to allow nature to take its course. She asked my thoughts on the matter. She gave me some options to consider with her best recommendations among them. And she gave me the choice to make myself without any pressure. I made my choices to go for an ultra-deep gumline power cleaning followed by a laser enhancement. (Apologies, these are my own layman's terms, not the actual clinical names.) I stated the treatments I wanted BEFORE I asked to see the prices. Then I asked for the price estimate. It was VERY FAIR. I stood by my choices, and the office staff worked with me to choose a payment option that made me feel good about it all. We proceeded with the treatments, which moved very quickly and with tight teamwork and skill. I didn't feel pain even when they administered the needle into my gums -- holy moly, that was a blessing! Today is the day after. The deeper areas where the gums meet the bone are understandably a bit tender as my body adjusts to the oral boot camp it undertook. But I am eating comfortably, I'll feel 100% perfect by tomorrow, and best of all -- I have PROACTIVELY taken steps to make my gums and enamel tight and clean again like they were when I was 19. And it was affordable. And it was smart. I'll have a follow up appointment in four months so that they can inspect the work and make adjustments if required. For now however, my mouth looks and feels great. Thank you for the recommended services! Johnny H.
