Not impressed.
My husband and I decided to try this place while we were out of town for a conference- we tried 3 dishes which seemed to be the most popular.
1. sashimi special- for tonight they were serving mackarel. Presentation was beautiful- the entire mackarel was displayed on the plate alongside the sashimi, and after you were done eating they take the bones to be deepfried to make chips. However, aesthetics is all this dish had, and it definitely lacked in flavor. I usually enjoy the taste of mackarel, but the manner in which the pieces were cut did not allow the flavors of the fish to come through- bland.
2. hamachi & grapefruit- one order comes with four spoon bites which were a nice blend sweetness from the grapefruit and citrus from the ponzu
3. uni with oyster- very disappointed with this. oyster was not of high quality and was topped with a baby piece of uni. $16 for 2 pieces is way overpriced.
