  • Stopped in at Bandera for dinner & were seated & served quickly by friendly staff. To start with we ordered the cornbread. Smoky, sweet peppers inside gave the bread amazing crumbly texture and flavor, which is a feat to behold as that dish is so easy to make bland & unappetizing. For my entreé I had the Carnitas sandwich which came with fries. The sandwich is absolutely enormous and I could only eat half as it was so messy & filling. Unfortunately, the fries added nothing special to the dish. They were limp & seasoned unevenly. My friends had the Rotisserie Chicken & Meatloaf which they both said were excellent. We all shared the brussel sprouts which were also enormous. The aioli accompanying them was delicious, however I prefer my brussel sprouts to be crispy throughout & bite-sized. Bandera is a solid 4 star restaurant and I'll be back again ordering the cornbread, just not the sandwich or sprouts.
