| - Ok this one is a 5 star review, this Starbucks hit all the spots as far as cleanliness, ambience, quality, and customer service. It is located at the intersection of Sahara/Fort Apache in the Lakes area. In a shopping center across from Albertsons surrounded by Chase Bank and Baskin Robbins.
First off I'd like to start by saying I am not much of a coffee drinker, only on occasion. When I do drink coffee I order a vente skinny vanilla latte. When I visit other Starbucks they usually screw it up, to much or to little sugar. Here it was perfect, they got it right to my liking. The staff was very friendly and expeditious, my order was ready within a few minutes.
The area was very clean and quaint. This coffee shop was smallest Starbucks I've been in, it makes up with the outside seating area. Outside there are several tables and chairs where one can enjoy their cup of java while people watching or taking in that cool vegas weather we occasionally have.
I use the passport app to pay for coffee, it is very fast and convenient. The one thing I don't like is the expected tip for a cup of coffee. Maybe if its the same server over time an occasionally gratuity might be warranted but on a daily basis it can become quite uncomfortable, I am not cheap just don't understand the concept of tipping $1 for my $4 or more cup of coffee, that is %25. Don't get me wrong they don't solicit but still have that guilt feeling sometimes if you pay cash or credit card and skip over the tip line. This is how I feel about Starbucks in general not this particular one, it does not hamper my rating as this one I feel still deserves 5 stars.
If you live in the area or close and have the time, order a cup of coffee and sit outside. Take in the nice cool breeze on an early morning and enjoy the scenery. Next time I have my rare coffee craving I will most likely come back to this Starbucks as it is in line with my commute.
